Outdoor Dining Sets

The outdoor dining sets featured on this page are made from reclaimed teak, salvaged from old ox-carts, fence posts, buildings and disused farming implements. Using reclaimed teak makes this furniture particularly suitable for use outdoors, the wood being well seasoned and the teak being resilient. However these properties are also excellent for indoor furniture with the teak building up a beautiful patina over time.

The Sleeper Dining Set is made from reclaimed railway sleepers and has a rustic look and feel. This furniture is simple in design yet durable and solid. Ideal for any poistion, inside or out. The table measures L150 x W100 x H75cm and is collapsible making it easy to manoeuvre. The Sleeper Dining Set also includes two refectory benches (L150 x W30 x H45cm) for easy informal dining. Seats six, but could accomodate up to eight with the addition of two Sleeper Chairs.

The use of wood from old ox-carts on the table surface results in a myriad of colours natural to teak. The rims of the wheels are used on the edge of the table top and for the legs. The chairs are also mostly made from the spokes of wheels. The set can be used indoors or outside and will last the test of time. The Mendip outdoor dining set is great for use in the garden. The dining table is made from reclaimed ox-cart wheels with slats left to prevent water sitting on the surface. The base is made from the hub of a wheel with four wheel rims making up the legs. The chairs are mostly made using the spokes of the wheel and in the case of the carver the arms are made up of the yolks that would have gone over the ox's neck. The table can be removed from the base for easier installation. All items of furniture in the set have been finished in bees wax. The Mendip table measures L110 x W110 x H75cm and comes with two standard chairs each measuring L60 x W45 x H90cm and two carver chairs each measuring L60 x W60 x H90cm..
