Making A Purchase Making a purchase from Environmental Gardener could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" (the icon on the left of your screen) and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express as well as debit cards including Solo, Delta, Switch and Maestro. We do not charge for any item until it is either ready to ship or has been reserved with a supplier on your behalf for delivery within a stated time period. Back-ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, mail or over the Internet. Payments by cheque should be made payable to 'Environmental Gardener' and sent to our main address. |
| Shipping And Handling Delivery to any address on the UK mainland is free for all orders over £50 except for garden furniture. Orders below £50 will be charged £4.95 shipping and handling. Garden furniture dining sets receive free delivery to UK mainland adresses. Individual items of garden furniture or any combination of such items (other than dining sets) which come to less than £1000 inc. VAT will be charged at between £60-100 per shipment depending on where you are in the UK. This amount will be added when we process your order. We will contact you prior to dispatch to confirm the total amount and will only dispatch your furniture once we have obtained your consent as to the total amount. Details on shipping charges for elsewhere in the world are available from our Call Centre or by emailing shippingcosts@environmentalgardener.co.uk. Please note, orders for non-UK mainland addresses will not be processed unless you have first sought agreement from Environmental Gardener to ship a particular product to your part of the world and have obtained from us the cost of shipping the item to you. The cost of shipping may be added to your order total during checkout in the box provided under the section headed 'Shipping And Handling'. Any quote provided for shipping to non-UK mainland addresses should be seen as provisional in the sense that we reserve the right to amend this price. In such circumstances we will always seek your explicit consent before any additional charges are made to those originally quoted. |
| Delivery Schedule We begin processing orders within 12 working hours of receipt and a letter of acknowledgement will be sent to you by e-mail confirming product details followed by a full shipping schedule. Most products should reach you in 2-3 working days subject to availability but please allow one week in case of any unforseen delays. Although we strive to provide as accurate information on shipping as we can, the delivery period stated either on the site or advised by email or verbally should be seen as a guide only and can not be viewed as the essence of any contract entered into with Environmental Gardener. We shall endeavour to notify you as soon as possible of any anticipated delay in the shipment of your product and your order may of course be cancelled at any time prior to dispatch should the wait prove unsatisfactory. | Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait or, if you prefer, our Call Centre staff will be happy to advise you on suitable alternatives. |
| Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or European Union, 17.5% VAT is included in the price (EX-VAT prices are also shown with each product). All other orders are VAT free and you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero. If you live in the UK or the EU and reduce VAT to zero during check-out by error or otherwise this amount will be re-applied to your order. | Credit Card Security We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using a SSL (Golden Padlock) Secure Server. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. |
| Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. Environmental Gardener only sells hand-chosen products from selected suppliers. All products are covered by a manufacturer's warranty or guarantee. Should a mechanical problem occur with a machinery product during the period of warranty, you are entitled to have the product examined by the manufacturer's agent. Any manufacturing fault will be rectified by the manufacturer's agent. Customers are advised that the manufacturer's agent will however be entitled to refuse to undertake work free of charge in the warranty period if the agent believes damage to the machine has been self-inflicted rather than being the consequence of an actual manufacturing fault. In respect of any guarantees offered by the manufacturer, the customer's recourse will be with the manufacturer and not Environmental Gardener. If, in such instances, the manufacturer and/or its agent decide that the cost of repair is the responsibility of the customer, the customer will in no way hold Environmental Gardener liable. Customers are further advised that the manufacturer's warranty will not necessarily cover the cost of taking the product to and from the manufacturer's agent and this will normally be the responsibility of the customer. Details of your nearest warranty agent can be obtained directly from the manufacturer. We will provide our customers with a manufacturer's Warranty and Service Hotline number where required. The terms and conditions under which we supply goods to you do not in any way affect your statutory rights as a consumer. |

| Returns Policy In accordance with existing UK Distance Selling Regulations, any product may be returned for whatever reason providing we receive written confirmation of your desire to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery. Please either write to Environmental Gardener, Field Lane, Hempnall, Norwich, NR15 2PB or email customerservice@environmentalgardener.co.uk. The cost of return will be borne by the customer unless the product is defective or was received in error. In the event that the product has been used and has been returned as unwanted, any benefit gained from use beyond normal examination will be taken into consideration when deciding on the amount to be refunded. We will issue any refunds as soon as possible and no later than 30 days after cancellation. |
