Exhibition will showcase 'ultimate' green garden
Leigh Jackson writes: Grand Designs Live at the NEC in Birmingham will play host to the 'ultimate' green garden created by Christian Aid and the Eden Project.
The garden incorporates renewable energy devices, organic foods and furniture made from recycled goods.
Hoping to showcase ways in which people can help save the environment by conservation, Kevin McCloud, who presents the Channel 4 programme said: "We are committed to being as green as possible."
He added: "Sustainability has moved from being a fringe issue to something that touches every aspect of our lives."
The exhibition runs from the 5th to the 7th October and will also feature advice on climate change from the Eden Project and a presentation on how to reduce emissions from Christian Aid.
Meanwhile, student gardener Gary Couzens was awarded a top prize at the National Amateur Garden Show for his renewable resource garden entitled 'Splash! Rainwater Harvesting!'.
