HTA to hold recycling and irrigation workshop

Friday, July 03 2009 16:39:04 by Editor

Water Conservation The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) is holding a workshop which will give those interested in the finer points of irrigation methods a chance to learn from industry experts.

The HTA water workshop will be held at John Woods Nurseries in Woodbridge on August 5th and will feature lectures by a number of irrigation experts.

Highlights of the workshop include a speech by the production director of Wyevale Nurseries, Steve Reed, who is due to talk about his experiences of setting up a container area to collect and reuse rain water in the nursery.

John Richards, owner and manager of John Richards Nurseries, will also illuminate the crowds on the subject of sand filters and winter storage reservoirs.

The show costs £69 for non-members and will be a fascinating opportunity to get to grips with the technicalities of bringing flowers to life.

For those who want a less scientific look at gardening, the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show begins next week (July 7th to the 12th) and visitors will be able to enjoy the many horticultural spectacles on offer.
