Benefits of mulching noted
Mulching has been noted as a great way to eliminate the challenges of gardening.
Joe Lamp'l, writing for the Seattle Times Food and Wine section, has said that mulching is a key way to save time and energy in the garden.
As well as being a weed suppressant, mulch can also help retain moisture in a garden - a factor that all gardeners know is important to maintain a healthy outdoor space.
It also helps to reduce plant disease, as it provides a protective layer that stops pathogens splashing onto foliage and spreading disease.
Additionally, mulching can assist in the moderation of soil temperature, which keeps plants warm in the winter and cool in the summer, with Mr Lamp'l suggesting that it can "make the difference between life and death".
If you want to have a garden that is teaming with life, looks aesthetically pleasing and will see flowers last for as long as possible, a mulcher is a great option.
