An OAP in Suffolk has found a potentially fatal tropical plant named Devil's Snare in her garden.
The plant, which has featured in Harry Potter, was found by the pensioner in the spring when its was just a few inches tall but it has now reached five-foot in height.
Phyllis Abbott, 79, from Newmarket contacted the Royal Horticultural Society and found that the plant was a poisonous hallucinogenic plant from South America.
She said: "My biggest concern was for people with little children in case it spread. We have neighbours with young ones at the bottom of the garden," reported Horticulture Week.
However, Mrs Abbott also revealed that she would not remove the plant immediately.
"I don't mind leaving it there until people who want to have seen it but then we will dig it up. We have already had a couple of people call who think they may have the same thing in their gardens," she added.
