Charlie Dimmock joins children to create charity garden

Wednesday, August 05 2009 17:28:42 by Editor

Lawns & Gardens TV favourite Charlie Dimmock has teamed up with children at the Busy Bees Nursery in Shenley, Hertfordshire to create a charity garden.

That is according to a report in the Borehamwood & Elstree Times, which reported that former Ground Force star Dimmock helped to create a Winnie the Pooh garden in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

As well as creating the garden, which is part of a nationwide initiative among Busy Bee Nurseries, Ms Dimmock also judged a competition in which the kids designed their 'dream garden'.

Ms Dimmock told the local newspaper: "The judging panel loved the Winnie the Pooh garden design from Busy Bees in Shenley – their bold use of colour and the various fun activities and features they had included in their design really made their entry stand out."

The Busy Bee Nursery Winnie the Pooh garden project was organised in association with Disney.

Each of the nurseries in the nationwide chain created their own garden and the winner was visited by Charlie Dimmock.
